Adventure. Kind of overused now-a-days isn’t it? For us however, adventure has been with us since we were children. Our family moved to Florida way back in 1986 and have breathing the salty air ever since. Adventures In Paradise was coined after the James Michener book vintage television show from the 1959. Gardner McKay would sail the South Seas on the schooner the Tiki III. After my parents honeymoon to Tahiti the emotional deal was done. Coconuts and thrill of the sail had struck. Arid Oklahoma and freezing Annapolis just wouldn’t cut it for them. They gave the babysitter a few gold bouillons for the weekend to watch the three boys and hoped in a car and drove to Florida. St Petersburg was their first stop. The sailboat show was going on and they had dinner on the old St. Pete pier, dreaming of ways to move their lives down south. The adventures would begin shortly thereafter.

Adventures In Paradise Outfitters is fortunate enough to land at 40 Beach Drive in downtown St. Petersburg this fall. We love St. Pete and can’t wait to offer our unique take on a fine outdoor men’s and ladies clothing store. Our shop is designed to be warm and welcoming with a surprise around every corner. We are elated to carry great lines such as Patagonia, Island Company, Vineyard Vines, Tommy Bahama, Katin, Southern Tide, Orvis, ExOfficio, OluKai, Helen Kaminski, Peter Millar and a whole lot more.
